With the beginning of the 2024/2025 season a big organisational change is coming to Dance
Without Limits! As of the beginning of September 2024, the new director of Dance without Limits is Dominik Jandus, who was handed over the position by interim director of Dance Without Limits, Filip Chodl, at the end of this year’s summer.
Dominik Jandus is an accomplished dancer and choreographer on the czech dance scene.
His dance education is primarily based on courses at the InDance school of dance and the Pop Ballet company , after which he was a part in the dance group IF of Leona Qaša Kvasnicová. He also took part in various workshops in the Czech republic (Lenka Vágnerová Company, Jan Kodet…) and abroad (e.g. the James Wilton Company, London).
Over the course of his long lasting career in dance, Dominik has appeared in various theatre and musical productions (e.g. Dance of the Vampires, Wicked, Holmes, The Legend) and at events for musical greats of the Czech scene, from names such as Karel Gott to Jíří Korn.
His career as a choreographer includes leading classes in several dance studios in the Czech republic (InDance school of dance, Dance Perfect, Tančírna) and choreographing for musicals (Romeo and Juliet at the Hybernia Theatre, Prague; Brothers, Na Fidlovačce Theatre, Prague) and various corporate and private events.
Dominik’s latest dive into the world of dance is taking up the mantle of director of Dance Without Limits, which Dominik attended numerous times in the past and from which he received multiple scholarships from invited choreographers, such as Terry Beeman (USA), Michele Assaf (USA), Naike Negretti (ITA) and others.
His managerial skills were evident already in the past, as he took the role of project manager of the successful Eventfest, the largest event festival in the Czech republic, for two years.
We wish Dominik good luck in his new position and we believe that Dance Without Limits will continue to evolve and better itself under his leadership.
